Installing roxio creator 2009
They don't actually install until you have them downloaded. When you do get them down, open them with winrar or winzip they are self-extracting exe files and extract to folders, run setup.
Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear in my earlier post. When I click on it to "run" it or install the Creator program, I get an error "Didn't find any files remaining to do! Download Manager is finished".
The total file size is MB. I pressume, the Download Manager when it runs, installs the full program? Because I can't get past the error message. The DowloadManager program should start the download proces to download the Creator Program and the Content file The program and content files may actually be in one file. It is not the Creator program but only the program to manage the download. The download you initiate yourself after the 2 files have been downloaded. Thanks for that, so now all I need is some guidance on why I cannot run the 'download manager' to download the program files.
In addition to what Walt and Larry have said, look at that Download Manager file size, again. It is KB, not MB. There may be some problem with Digital River. Reboot, and run the Download Manager file, again.
Yes I have tried to re-start the computer, I have tried to put Download manager into a new folder on my hard drive C: - but nothing seems to be working. I still do not get the files 'downloaded' so I can install the new version. And as to what Larry said - no I am not seeing that screen at all.
Download Manager is finsihed! I did however, have a problem with the setup before of re-installating through HP Recovery Manager a previous version of Roxio Creator Basic v9.
Then I had. Restarted the computer many times and now I seem to have the basic version working ok - but cannot run or download files for the new version. When the computer starts or re-starts a Windows Installer screen comes on to say a network resource is unavailale for.
But the new version - Creator Download Manager - will not allow me to download files for the new version. Very fustrating! Once you get the download straightened out, I strongly recommend you printout the Clean Install and follow that step by step for your install!
With all that you have done up to now, you have a disaster in a box and you really need to get it cleaned up…. Many thanks for the replies. Yes, I've already done a clean install for the version; and also did a clean install for the Creator Basic v9, which HP installed when I first bought the computer not even a year old yet.
I will phone and hope they can send me a CD - then it would just be a matter of going through the setup and installation - and I sure hope that works! Thanks for your replies, I appreciate it. Thank you so much for the replies. Good news - I phoned Roxio Support - they to walked me through the installation, I had to do yet another clean installation of both Creator Basic v9 from HP and Creator and files were deleted. Restarted the computer - and installed Creator Then a network resource cannot be found!
Originally the download manager downloaded files to the desktop and I installed it from there. I sure hope it doesn't mean I have to uninstall this - and then install it from a folder on the hard drive?
I also wonder, in this forum - how do you change the title of the post? Update or edit the title? I do not understand why you would want to put on your OEM V9 back on your system??? Check Out..
Friday, January 16, PM. I've been able to load individual apps from within the suite, but the main program crashes immediately after I click on it. I've found some posts within the roxio forums tracing it to the. NET Framework 3. However, I was not able to register it.
Roxio is buggy in and of itself and is had to do repairs with. Tuesday, January 13, AM. Can't complain too much though since its really the only problem I've had so far with 7 :. Guys - can you post these to the Roxio Forum and more of us can try to help there there are a few of us who are using W7 Beta so we can work through this I installed Ultimate immediately after installing W7 and it went in with no problems.
However, remember you are running a Beta OS and problems can be expected. In regards to the clean install procedure, there are a couple of problems 1: Obviously the registry keys are going to be different, so we can't say what ones should be removed 2: Removing the 'hidden' Roxio and Sonic folders - to date I haven't found out how to access those Do NOT whatever you do go on a wild hunt through the registry for Sonic and Roxio entries - you could end up disabling the built in burning system Roxio Central problems - as you access the individual apps from the start menu it seems that it's the 'home app' install that is faulty and that's not usually down to the.
I started a post at Roxio. Does require a login to their site to post. Tuesday, January 13, PM. I just answered it ; - I'm still waiting a response from the board admin over a dedicated W7 section.
Found the post. I can go through the installation without issue.. Glad to know that SP2 is working here for any problems. I can't speak for the 64 bit version of W7 I never installed it as I can't see any need FOR a 64 bit OS in the absence of 64 bit apps but that's another story. I am doing the happy dance! Hopefully this post will help someone in my position in the future. Maybe what did make a difference this time is after I changed the setup file name I turned off the firewall, the antivirus and shut down some programs that were running that I knew didn't need to be.
That is the only thing I could have done differently and I learned that from the correspondence on this forum! You guys need to be on Roxios payroll!!!! I had mostly the same problem, only there was one other symptom.
I would get an error dialog popup, which indicated "rcsl. I followed someone's instructions of running msconfig, and turning off all the items in the "Startup" tab, then re-starting Windows in this case Vista. Just tell us what it says on the screen and what happens when you try to install - none of us are Roxio tech support and we do this board in our spare time To trawl through that would leave us with no spare time Edited November 14, by gi7omy. MeSue 0. Uninstall dotNET Framework 3 and 3. Okay I printed it out and carefully went step by step, still no luck Edited November 14, by MeSue.
Posted November 15, We're past the 'install interrupted' stage One more thing for you to try - follow this guide step by step after you have uninstalled dotNET 2 and 3 1 is fine - no problem there.
One of two options 1: Set up a new administrator account and try to uninstall that way - 3. That is critical. I have Windows XP, does that make any difference?
Actually stuff on XP should be easier to uninstall - it's not as paranoid as Vista over access so it does sound as though something is very much amiss on the operating system I'm having one of those 'less than clear thinking days'.
