Justin Rain Deputy as Deputy. Sasha Shay Nell as Nell. Steve Smith Nelson as Nelson. Patrick Magee. More like this. Watch options. Storyline Edit. Lost deep in the forest of the Pacific Northwest, Ashley and Max Carr are stalked by a terrifying creature that might be Bigfoot. Soon they find themselves embroiled in a strange land of Native American myth and legend turned real.

Hopelessly trying to survive, with a handful of unsavory locals, they must fight back against this monster in a desperate battle of life or death. If you thought you knew the Bigfoot legend, think again Action Adventure Horror Thriller. Rated R for strong horror violence and gore, language, and brief sexuality.

Did you know Edit. Trivia Mostly filmed around Crescent City, California, during the February each of two sequential years. That time frame and location were selected for the expected drizzle and overcast weather conditions. However, filming commenced near the start of a multi-year California drought and the production had to work around weeks of blue skies by using fog machines and hanging large drapes to block out the sun. It did finally rain a little the first year-- the last day of filming.

User reviews Review. Top review. Moderately watchable Lets start with the bad. I really don't see why writers seem to think making key and peripheral characters, mostly unlikable, is a good thing in the context of a survivalist horror? After all if you can't empathise with the characters predicament, how can you genuinely feel afraid for them when things turn sour?

Its a mistake I see again and again. I think too, the decision to introduce the creature stalking them so early in the piece, in its entirety, wasn't well considered either.

The sense of the unknown, the half seen or glimpsed adds to the creeping sense of mystery and menace in a poorly lit forest setting. While there is no Super VGA mode which would invitably slow down the game , the backdrops and animation are more than adequate.

The fighter's movements were captured from a number of stop motion 3d models, carefully created, and then moved into position. For example, to get a punch movement, a model's built on a wire frame arm would be moved, just a little, then a capture would be taken of the model. The arm would be moved a little more, and captured again, till the whole sequence was completed.

Anyone who's seen Jason and the Argonauts will know what I mean. But don't be fooled.. Each character is, as is now standard, is equipped with their own set of special moves, which inflict extra damage upon the luckless opponent. These too, manage to be distinctly out of the ordinary, and although there are the standard fireball moves, each fighter is equipped with around 7 unique special moves.

In addition to the range of lethal special moves, each player is also equipped with three fatalities as has become the norm since Mortal Kombat , which allow you to finish your opponent in a number of vicious ways, all sure to corrupt the minds of gamesplayers everywhere. These range from flesh eating, to incinerating your opponent, or tearing various organs out.

Gameplaywise, Primal Rage measures up pretty well. There's the usual mix of punches and kicks, or rather, bites and slashes. It's not too hard to pull off decent combos, and the moves are pretty easy to access, even on a keyboard. The moves themselves are pretty imaginative, although there are a couple of dragon punch rip-offs included. Hits do feel like they connect, although the characters don't seem to have quite as much weight as MK2, or Street Fighter 2.

You are no longer a badass rambo-like warrior or a teenager stranded in an island or a remote area. The main new feature is the taming capability.

Along the journey, Takkar was introduced to his skills as a Beast Master, capable to tame dangerous predators and even ride it after you have reached a certain level. In short, Far Cry Primal is a fresh new idea in the Far Cry series that offers the same gameplay pattern but with new environment, features, and challenges.
